PDA version is just as good if not better than the hardcopy. It can be updated and all the information is in one handy spot.
Davis Drug Guide
2/26/2008Excellent drug book. I began nursing school with a PDR. A classmate had this book and after being in clinicals with them I found that the Davis Drug book was more useful and easier to read.

3/10/2008THIS BOOK HAS A LOT OF INFORMATION ON MEDICINES AND NEWER MEDICINES THAT SOME BOOKS DON'T HAVE.

This is a great resource. The CD and program (QLU) are particularly helpful as I've been writing care plans for nursing school. I graduate next month and this will continue to be a valuable resource as I work in pediatric home care!

I purchased this book in January of 2008 as it was recommended by the college I was attending. I have referenced it many of times for various assignments. 7 out of 10 times this book will have the drug I am looking for. There are many new drugs out there that are used on a regular bases in the hospital that you will not find in this book. Save yourself the money and the shelf space and either get a PDA or a newer edition.
